An extract of national legislation

  • Maximum continuous driving time per day :

    Between 06:00AM to 09:00PM = after 4h30 driving time & 45 min rest period

    Between 09:00PM to 06:00AM = after 4h driving time & 45 min rest period

     

  • Maximum daily hours of work : 12 hours (in exceptional case it can be increased to 14 hours)

  • Maximum driving time per 24h: 09 hours

  • Minimum rest period : 11 continious hours – in exceptional case can be reduced to 9 hours under certain conditions.

    For a trip of more than 6 days the driver will have to take a break of 24 hours.

     

  • Maximum daily hours of work in double crew : 18 hours

    In case of this 2 conditions can’t be applied a rest period of 9 continious hours will be necessary for the drivers
